As you may have heard, the Checkpoint and AmegaView monitoring systems are reaching their End of Life. This provides the opportunity for our customers to upgrade to the new, modern, customizable, web-based ViewPoint Monitoring System that will serve your needs for years to come. These upgrades allow you to be able to function in today’s technological environment and to meet new and ever increasingly stringent regulatory concerns. There are three important things to consider about these systems’ end of life.
1. You can still use your system for many months, even years
Just because the End of Life has been announced, this does not mean you need to abandon your current monitoring system. In most cases, you can continue to use your current system and receive support until 2019! After 2019, you may choose to continue to use your CheckPoint or AmegaView systems, however Mesa may no longer provide tech support, replacement parts, or software updates.
2. Much of your hardware will work with ViewPoint
When it is time to convert to the ViewPoint Monitoring System, most of the hardware you already have in place will be backwards compatible with the new system and will work in conjunction with new ViewPoint hardware. Mesa experts will work with you to create an upgrade path, so you have nothing to fear or lose sleep over. We will create a smooth and seamless transition to get you the most up-to-date, compliant system on the market.
3. There is an upgrade path
Please contact your local Sales Manager for information on the upgrade options that are available to you. In many cases your previous equipment and infrastructure can be leveraged in the ViewPoint software, and work in conjunction with ViewPoint hardware (see #2 above).
If you have any questions or concerns about the CheckPoint or AmegaView End of Life or would like to speak to a Mesa expert and begin your upgrade plan, please reach out to us. We are here to work with you.
